Playdates

As some of you know my wee buddy Claire is due to have her baby soon! After a couple of false alarms this past week, I have been spending much more time with her and her little boy, Ryan (23months)!

About a week ago I decided it would be a good idea to do a scrapbook of Ryan's little life so far, to give to Claire as part of her Christmas! I had the scan pictures and photo's all sorted out but I felt that none of this really captured Ryan's fabbi little personality! Sure he smiles for the pictures just as much as he smiles throughout every day! I wanted some of his craziness in there too though!

Pamela bought paint :D The first batch I bought though wasn't exactly kid or Pam friendly! So Ryan and I ended up stained! It took me 5 washes with fairy liquid and a 6th with fairy liquid and a scrubbing brush! it was worth it though.. we had so much fun!

Not satisfied with this though, the next day I bought some child friendly paint! Claire had the hospital for a check up (which was super great because she got a scan too! I saw a hand!! and a baby!!) After the hospital we thought a little munch was in order, so off we went to good old burger king before our wee saunter into Paisley! Parked the car up and headed for the lift, where I taught Ryan how to terrify mummy! :D Ryan with his straps on, Pamela holding them and up and down we bounced in the lift.. mummy was very pale at this point!

Popped into see Gran (Ryan's gran) who works in the shop I was buying the paint out of! Ryan decided he wanted to pick up and move every book in the shop! Claire and I pottered about behind him clearing up his wee trail!

More painting.. we got him to stand in the paint to do footprints! pop the hands in for the hand prints then I splashed a dod on the top of his foot....to which Ryan responded by grabbing a paint brush and using his little body as a canvas! Head to toe in paint but a massive smile on his face, and tears of laughter from Claire and I!

He's such a brill kid, and if I ever have my own one day I can only hope he/she is half as cool as Ryan is! You ask him where Aimee is (that's the baby Claire's having - a little girl) and he goes up and points to mum's tummy and sometimes gives hugs .. bless!

Also - I am so glad he's stopped calling me bowel.. I swear he knew it irritated me and continued it for that soul purpose.. he's lucky he's too adorable to offend!
